Saturated steam
Saturated Steam Heat Recovery at Sichuan Meifeng
An 886 kW steam-turbine unit uses low-pressure saturated steam from melamine production to generate electricity, with condensate returned to the process.
Boomtec Industry's Sichuan Meifeng project recovers energy from low-pressure saturated steam generated as a by-product of melamine production. The steam-turbine unit has a rated output of 886 kW and is designed around the site's steam conditions and process requirements.
The recovery route uses the by-product steam to generate electricity for plant use, while condensate is returned to the process system. The turbine design addresses wet-steam expansion through a multi-stage flow path, surface treatment of key blades and condensate collection and drainage features.
For other melamine or chemical-process plants, assessment starts with steam pressure, temperature, flow variation, operating hours and the required condensate-return conditions. Equipment selection and guaranteed performance remain project-specific.
